Ordering & Payment

How does gift card checkout work?

Gift card checkout is available on every order. At the checkout page, you'll see a "Gift Card Code" field. Enter your code and click Apply — the value will be applied directly to your order total. If the gift card doesn't cover the full amount, you can pay the remainder by another method. If it covers more than the total, the remaining balance stays on the card.

Can I pay entirely with a gift card?

Yes. If the gift card value covers your full order total including any applicable shipping, you can complete the purchase using only the gift card. There's no minimum payment requirement beyond the gift card.

Do you charge sales tax?

Sales tax is applied based on the shipping destination and applicable state tax laws. The applicable tax amount will be shown clearly during checkout before you complete your purchase.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

We ship to all 50 US states from our location in Wyncote, Pennsylvania. Delivery timelines vary by region — Northeast orders typically arrive in 3–5 business days, while Western states can take 5–7 business days. Alaska and Hawaii timelines vary; contact us before ordering for specific estimates.

How will I know when my order ships?

You'll receive an email confirmation when your order is placed and a separate shipping notification with tracking information when your order leaves our facility. Please allow one business day for order processing.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, Grace & Thread ships within the United States only. We're evaluating options for international shipping and will update this page when that changes.

Returns & Fit

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for items in original condition — unworn, unwashed, with tags attached. To initiate a return, email info@graceandthread.shop with your order number and reason for return. We'll send a prepaid return label within one business day.

What if the dress doesn't fit as expected?

If the fit isn't right, return it and we'll help you find the right size. Our size guide includes detailed measurements, and we're happy to advise on sizing before you order — email us with your measurements and the style you're considering.

Can I exchange for a different size?

Yes. Exchanges are processed as a return and new order. Once we receive your returned item in original condition, we'll process a refund and you can place a new order in the correct size. This approach means you're not waiting on a back-and-forth exchange process.

Photography & Product Accuracy

Why do you photograph in natural light?

Studio lighting can alter how fabric colours appear significantly. Natural daylight gives the most accurate representation of how a dress will look in the real environments where you'd actually wear it — at an outdoor wedding, in a restaurant, in a gallery. We photograph in natural light specifically so the colour you see is the colour you receive.

Who models the dresses?

We photograph each dress on women of different heights and builds — not professional models in a single standardised size. This gives you a more accurate sense of how the dress will fit and fall on a real body. Height and size details for each person photographed are noted in the product description.

The Collection

Why is the collection so small?

A smaller, more considered collection is the point. We'd rather offer eight dresses that genuinely work across multiple occasion types than a large catalogue that requires you to do significant filtering. Every piece in the collection has been chosen specifically because it earns its place.

Will you add new styles?

We add new pieces when we find something that meets our criteria — versatility, honest photography, clean construction. We don't add pieces on a seasonal schedule. When something new is added, it's because it genuinely belongs in the collection.

Do you have anything with colour or pattern?

The collection focuses on neutral palettes — ivory, sand, stone, slate, blush, charcoal. These tones are chosen because they photograph consistently, work across multiple event types, and layer with what most people already own. We don't carry prints or bright colours at this time.
