The usual experience

Overwhelmed by options, none of them right.

Sequins you'd never wear. Colours that photograph strangely. Styles that feel like a costume rather than clothes. Hours spent, nothing found.

Dresses for occasions, not for occasions Powered by Namit Enterprises

Why Grace & Thread

Designed around how you actually live

Versatile by design

Each dress is chosen specifically because it works across multiple occasion types — a wedding in the afternoon, a client dinner that evening. One piece, genuine range.

Honest photography

Every dress is photographed on real bodies — different heights, different builds — in natural daylight. No studio tricks, no heavy retouching. The colour you see is the colour you get.

Zero sequins, always

We curate deliberately. Nothing embellished, nothing theatrical. Clean fabrics, thoughtful cuts, and a neutral palette that reads as intentional rather than safe.

Gift card checkout

Every order supports gift card payment at checkout. Giving someone a dress — or receiving one — is a completely smooth experience with no extra steps or workarounds.

The Collection

Each piece, considered

Clean lines. Neutral palettes. Made to wear, not to admire from a distance.

Straight-cut sand linen column dress with minimal neckline, photographed on a woman in natural light Wedding Guest

The Linen Column

Sand linen, straight cut, side slit. Works at a garden wedding or an outdoor dinner with equal ease.

Slate grey midi wrap dress with clean V-neckline on a woman standing near a window in soft daylight Work Dinner

The Slate Wrap

Slate grey crepe, midi length, V-neckline. Polished enough for a client dinner, relaxed enough to feel like yourself.

Ivory structured shift dress with subtle A-line silhouette worn by a woman in a bright gallery space Gallery Opening

The Ivory Shift

Ivory ponte, clean A-line, just-below-knee length. The one you reach for when the occasion is undefined but the expectations are high.

Oat-coloured silk slip dress with thin straps and bias cut, worn by a woman outdoors in soft afternoon light Multi-occasion

The Oat Slip

Silk-satin, bias cut, adjustable straps. Subtle and considered — pairs with a blazer for dinner or stands alone at a summer wedding.

Charcoal wool-blend column dress with long sleeves and a high neckline, photographed in warm indoor light Work Dinner

The Charcoal Column

Charcoal wool-blend, long sleeve, high neck. Structured and understated — appropriate for a board dinner or a winter gallery opening.

Dusty blush midi dress with a relaxed waist and flutter sleeves, photographed on a woman in a sunlit room Wedding Guest

The Blush Midi

Dusty blush chiffon, flutter sleeve, midi length. Soft without being fussy — reads as dressed-up without trying too hard.

Stone-coloured pleated dress with structured bodice and flowing skirt, worn by a woman in a minimalist interior Gallery Opening

The Stone Pleat

Stone grey pleated georgette, fitted bodice, fluid skirt. Movement and structure in equal measure — a dress that photographs beautifully and feels even better.

The Ecru Tailored

Ecru cotton-blend, shirt-dress cut, self-tie belt. The dress that works at a daytime wedding, a work event, and everything in between without any adjustment.

How we photograph

Real bodies. Natural light. No surprises.

Every dress in the collection is photographed on women of different heights and builds, in unedited natural daylight. We show the colour as it actually reads — not as it looks under studio lights. We show how the fabric moves, how the hem falls, how the waist sits.

What you see in the product images is what you receive. That's the only approach we consider acceptable.

Occasion Guide

Where each dress works

Wedding Guest

Dresses that read as occasion-appropriate without competing with the wedding party. Neutral palettes, considered lengths, nothing that photographs as white.

Work Dinner

Professional enough for a client-facing evening, personal enough to feel like your own choice. Structured fabrics, clean necklines, nothing that requires constant adjustment.

Gallery Opening

Understated and considered — the kind of dress that belongs in a room where people look at things carefully. Nothing that competes with the art.
